(Tacoma, WA) – The Red Devils took care of business in the final road match of the NWAC West Region schedule.
Katy Cooper had a great match to lead the LCC volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over Tacoma on Wednesday November 2
nd.
Cooper had 13 kills and seven digs to lead the way. Cooper had an outstanding kill percentage of .462.
The set scores were 25-23, 25-9 and 25-14. The Devils held off a Tacoma rally in that pivotal first set and then put it into cruise control the rest of the way.
Alex Tinsley had 26 assists and three service aces.
Arianna Vreeland had 18 digs to lead the defense.
Kate Johnson had six kills and
Jayden Foster added five.
Lower Columbia is 10-1 in the West, 24-4 overall.
The Devils have one more division game and a victory would give the team at least a share of the West Region title. Green River comes to Myklebust Gym on Friday November 4
th for a 6 pm match.
Prior to the match, five LCC sophomores will be honored on Sophomore Night. Vreeland, Foster, Cooper,
Jazzy Golly and
Olivia Kelzenberg will be celebrated for outstanding careers as Red Devil volleyball student/athletes.
