(Tacoma, WA) – The Lower Columbia women's basketball team forced 34 Tacoma turnovers and beat the Titans 74-58 in an empty gym on Wednesday January 26
th.
The Devils frenetic, full court defense put the Titans on their heels right from the start. Although it was far from one of the Devils best outings, it was a solid win on the road to put the team at 3-0 in the West and 13-1 overall.
Sophomore
Chinedu Nnadi was outstanding with 17 points, four rebounds and six steals. She hit 7 of 12 shots.
Danica Schmidt made 6 of 9 shots for 15 points. She also contributed seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.
Point guard
Katelynn Forner was also very efficient with 15 points, six rebounds and three steals. Forner was 5 for 8 shooting in the enemy gym.
Jodi Noyes scored 10 points with seven boards, three assists and three steals from the post position.
Jazlynn Novelli had nine points off the bench.
LCC has Saturday off before they host league rival Centralia on Wednesday February 2
nd. Game time is set for 5:30 at Myklebust Gym.
