Red Devils Women's basketball improved their record to 2-0 in league play, 12-1 overall, Saturday, January 22, with a 79-39 win over the Pierce Raiders.
Lower Columbia held Pierce to only 16 pts in the first half while putting up 51 pts to take a sizable lead into the half. The Red Devils bench had plenty of playing time and contributed 52 pts to give the Devils a 79-39 win
LCC scored 24 pts off 23 Raider turnovers.
Jazlynn Novelli led the team in scoring with 17 pts.
Asia Castillo had 9 pts and 2 ast.
Ally Harman and
Chinedu Nnadi put up 8 pts each.
Paige Mace had a good night with 7 pts, 7 rbs, and 4 ast.
Danica Schmidt led the team in rebounds with 8 and put up 4 pts.
Jodi Noyes pulled down 4 boards with 3 ast and 4 pts. Noyes currently leads the NWAC with a 64.4 Field Goal Percentage
Red Devil women are currently tied at 1st in the NWAC west region at 2-0 with Tacoma (2-0,7-7). The team travels to Tacoma on Wednesday, January 26, for a 5:30 tip.
