The Pierce Raiders were a determined bunch.
After dropping a home match to Lower Columbia in straight sets earlier this season, the Raiders came to Longview and enacted revenge with a 3-1 victory.
The set scores were 25-17, 24-26, 25-18 and 25-18.
Pierce played an overall excellent match but still had to work hard against a Lower Columbia team that wouldn't quit.
Kaya Anderson had 38 assists and Moeshana Maiava threw down 17 kills to lead the Raiders.
Zoe Naugle led LCC with 10 kills.Â
Josie Dew and
Kaylee Barnum had eight kills each.
Karsyn Zaragoza collected 23 assists and
Amanda Holm added 17.
Emma Nelson had another solid match with 28 digs.
Emily Borgstedt showed versatility and chipped in with five kills.
Naugle didn't back down at the net as she had six blocks.
The Devils drop to 6-1 and they will have another shot at the Raiders May 13th in Lakewood. LCC better not look ahead because they turn around and travel to Tacoma for a match on Thursday April 29th at 7 pm.
