The Lower Columbia College volleyball team did not dwell on its first loss of the season. After dropping a 3-1 home match to Pierce on Wednesday, the Devils came back strong with a 3-0 sweep at Tacoma on Thursday April 29
th.
LCC is now 7-1 on the season.
The set scores were 25-21, 25-10 and 25-22.
After setting the tone with the set one win, the Devils dominated in taking the second. There was a bit of a let down in the third set but LCC righted the ship and came away with the sweep.
Emma Nelson continued her inspired play by digging out 22 balls. The sophomore libero has been a consistent force in getting down and getting the team into formation.
Zoe Naugle led the net attack with nine kills and five blocks.
The setter twins were doing their thing.
Karsyn Zaragoza had 14 assists and
Amanda Holm tallied 10 helpers.
The all-around game of
Camryn Wilson was reflected in the stat line of eight kills, 10 digs and a 94% serve percentage.
LCC will have Wednesday off before returning to the court Thursday May 6
th at Centralia.
