It took Lower Columbia awhile to get going. The team had been shut down for two weeks because of Covid-19 protocols and the rust was evident. Down 26-21 at halftime and trailing entering the 4th quarter, the Devils outscored the Blazers 18-12 in the final quarter.
Jazlynn Novelli hit two big threes in the fourth quarter. She finished her first college game with six points and two rebounds.
Danica Schmidt was solid for LCC as she had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Eastyn Reeves logged 37 minutes in her Devil debut. She had six points, two assists and five steals.
Centralia outrebounded LCC 51-41. Najahia Forks led the Blazers with 15 points.
The Devils are excited to be back on the court after many Covid related delays. The team will return to action Tuesday April 20 with a home game against Tacoma. Tip off is set for 5:00 pm.
