(Portland, OR) – The Lower Columbia women's basketball team applied the pressure from the start forcing 23 Portland Panther turnovers in an 87-56 victory December 8
th in Portland.
The Devils jumped out to a 25-13 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Freshman guard
Paige Mace scored a college career-high 16 points to get things going. Mace entered the game four minutes in and immediately hit a corner three. She hit another long ball in the same spot with a minute left in the quarter.
Sophomore guard
Michaela Harris had an outstanding game for LCC with 18 points and five assists. Sophomore post
Jodi Noyes was solid with 10 points and nine rebounds, six on the offensive glass.
Chinedu Nnadi was 4-6 from the floor with 10 points and three assists.
Although
Ally Harman had a tough shooting night (3-12) she did many good things with nine points, eight rebounds and four assists.
India Gultry led Portland with 14 points. LCC forced 23 Panther turnovers which led to 27 Red Devils points.
LCC goes to 6-0 on the season and they will finally get an opportunity to play in front of the home fans on Friday December 10
th. The Columbia Basin Hawks will be in Longview for a 5:30 pm game at Myklebust Gym in the Stoller Athletic Center.
