(Longview, WA) –
Jodi Noyes scored 24 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Lower Columbia Red Devils stayed unbeaten with an 84-69 victory over Columbia Basin on Friday December 10th.
The Devils were playing in front of the home fans for the first time and they led wire-to-wire in raising their record to 7-0 on the season.
Noyes missed just two shots on the night going 10 for 12 from the floor. She also had two blocks.
The Devils came out with full court pressure but starting point guard
Katelynn Forner was whistled for two fouls in the first minute of play.
Enter
Paige Mace. The freshman point was outstanding in her 23 minutes of playing time scoring eight points with 10 assists.
Michaela Harris had a solid game with 15 points in 18 minutes on the floor.
Every Red Devil got on the floor and they all contributed to the win.
Samantha Collins had nine points and
Kamelai Powell scored four.
Up by 30 late in the third quarter, LCC was able to get valuable minutes for the non-starters.
Now it's time to prepare for Clackamas. LCC will host the Cougars Tuesday December 14
th at 6 pm in a battle of two top NWAC teams.
