(Longview, WA) -- The Lower Columbia Red Devils worked through a night when things were far from smooth. But despite 24 turnovers, LCC defeated the Spokane Sasquatch 72-68 to advance to the championship game of the 34th Red Devil Classic.
Sherman Royal III had 12 points and nine rebounds to lead the victory.
In a tight, back-and-forth game, Lower Columbia was able to hold off Bigfoot with some solid free throw shooting down the stretch.
Emanuel Steward had 12 points and three rebounds for LCC (3-0).
Ky-mani Pollard went on a personal 5-0 run late in the game to give the Devils the advantage they would need. Pollard had 11 points, three boards, two assists and two steals before fouling out of the game.
The Devils were able to survive despite an off-night from leading scorer
Dakota Reber who had four points.
Keylin Vance had eight points, two boards and three assists.
Spokane was led by Jaron Williams with 17 points.
LCC will be looking for its 10th Red Devil Classic championship in the 34 years the tournament has been played when they take on Yakima Valley at 2 pm Sunday November 28th.
