Devils Hold On For Win In Hub City

It was almost the one that got away.

Centralia hosted the Lower Columbia men on Wednesday February 5th and a seemingly comfortable 11 point lead with 3:50 to play turned out to be anything but comfortable.

The Blazers missed a tip-in at the buzzer and the Red Devils escaped with a 75-73 victory.  LCC is now 7-1 in the West and 19-4 overall.

Samaad Hector had another big game for the Devils. Hector scored 19 points and hauled down 15 rebounds.  The talented sophomore leads the NWAC at 14.7 rebounds per contest.

Martis Johnson had a solid game for the Devils including a huge steal late in the game as Centralia was making its rally. Johnson had 11 points and six rebounds.

Former Adna star Cody Young was solid in his home area.  Young had 13 points and although he was just 1-7 from three point range, he hit some clutch free throws and was 10-12 from the line.

Travis Patrick was also key for LCC as he had eight points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. Jonah Crumpton-Murray also was a big contributor with seven points, two boards and three assists.

The Devils stay one game behind division leader South Puget Sound as they get ready to host Highline on Saturday February 8th.  The game will start at 7 pm.
