It's always nice to have a deep and talented team. The Lower Columbia women's basketball team put that on full display in a 94-51 road victory Wednesday February 12
th at South Puget Sound.
Every Red Devil player scored and all 12 played at least nine minutes in the win over the Clippers played at the Evergreen State College in Olympia.
Tommia Pakootas led all scorers with 20 points. The freshman sharp shooter was 7 for 12 from the floor and 6 for 10 from beyond the arc.
Bailey Farrer also shot very well as she was 5 for 7 from the floor and scored 14 points.
Josie Schmitz hit three of her four three-point attempts and tallied 11 points.
The Red Devils bench outscored the Clippers 56 to 5.
There were impressive numbers throughout the box score.
Madison Mosier, Schmitz and
Cherita Daugherty all had four assists.
Melenaite Kata led all rebounders with 10 and
Danica Schmidt pulled down seven boards.
Madeline Jacobson also had six rebounds and Daugherty also cleared six off the board.

Marquessa Gilson divvied up the minutes and the Devils came away with a feel-good road trip. Lower Columbia goes to 8-2 in the West Division and 17-8 overall.
The Devils are back on the bus Saturday February 15
th for a trip to Aberdeen to play the Grays Harbor Chokers. The game be heard live in the Longview-Kelso area on FM 100.7 KLOG and on the internet at klog.com.
