Samaad Hector put a fabulous finish to a big night as the Lower Columbia College men's basketball team defeated Tacoma 87-74 on Wednesday January 29
th.

Hector slammed dunked a rebound in the waning moments giving him 28 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Devils to victory. Hector leads the NWAC in rebounding with 14.7 per game and the win over Tacoma put his incredible skills center stage.

The Devils needed the big night from Hector to stave off an upset-minded Tacoma team. The Devils had a 17 point lead in the second half but he Titans would not go away. Tacoma hit some tough shots and got within two, but LCC was able to regain its footing and get the victory.

Alexis Angeles had 17 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Devils.Â
Martis Johnson had a solid game with 15 points, seven boards and three steals.

Louden Wardius played well down the stretch and finished with nine points and three assists.Â
Travis Patrick brought the crowd to its feet with a spectacular slam dunk. He had four points, four rebounds and two steals.

Tacoma was led by the 16 points each from Emmett Linton, Elijah McLaughlin and Jordan Parker.

Lower Columbia stayed within one game of first place South Puget Sound with the victory. The Devils are 6-1 in the division and 18-4 overall.

The Devils are off Saturday. They return to action Wednesday February 5
th at Centralia. Tip off is slated for 8 pm.
