The Chemeketa Storm hosted Lower Columbia for the first time on their new on-campus softball field.

The Devils liked it. A lot.

Lower Columbia took two from the Storm by scores of 8-2 and 14-4.

The first game started slow for LCC starter Trinity Naugle as she gave up a solo homer in the first and a single run in the second.  But the Devils bats came alive and Naugle got better as the game went on.  The freshman from Castle Rock ended up with the complete game victory.

The LCC offense was kick started by sophomore catcher Lauren Lunt, who hit a three-run homer in the third, her 10th dinger of the season.  The Devils scored in three of the final four frames.

Valeti Fifita led the way with four basehits. Sophia Parsons went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBI's.

Much like the first game, LCC second game starter Nizhoni Wheeler started slow but dominated down the stretch.  After giving up four runs in the first three innings, Wheeler buckled down and shut out the Storm over the final four frames.

Fifita had another big game in the leadoff spot, collecting three more hits. Kinzey Williams had three hits with a single, double and triple.  Sarah Potwin had three hits including a three run homer.

Saydie Harris had three hits including two doubles.

Lower Columbia goes to 26-11 on the season and 17-9 in West Region play.

LCC will close out the regular season with the final homes of the year on Friday May 10th at Tam O'Shanter Park.  The double header begins at 3 pm.  The sophomores will honored in a ceremony in between both games.
