Three Lower Columbia pitchers combined to strike out 15 Green River batters as the Red Devils defeated the Gators 13-0 on Tuesday April 9
th at Story Field.

It was strange to see the Red Devils in the road grays at home playing as the visiting team. Green River had requested using the LCC facility following earlier rain outs and facility issues.

DeShawn Johnson got the start and allowed just two singles in five innings while striking out 10 Gators.

Nick Jennings came on for a perfect sixth inning, striking out the side.Â
Rance Pittman closed it out with a hitless 7
th, striking out two.

The Devils scored 13 runs on just five hits in the game. Green River struggled in the field committing seven errors.

Chase Matheny went 2 for 3 at the plate with three RBI's.

Colin Floyd hit a two-run double.
Trevor Paro walked four times, had a hit and scored three runs. Paro also swiped two bases.Â
Tommy Davis had a hit and scored three runs.

The Devils closed out the singles portion of the West Region schedule with a 4-1 record. The Devils begin the four game series portion of the campaign with games against the Centralia Trailblazers. The Blazers and Devils meet Saturday April 13
th for a 1:00 pm double header at Wheeler Field in Centralia. The teams will then tangle for two games Sunday April 14
th at Story Field. First pitch is 1:00 pm.
