Win at Green River moves Devils to 6-2 in league

Lower Columbia women defeated Green River 88 - 58 in Auburn, WA on Wednesday February 6.

Head Coach Lucas Myers switch things up a bit with the starting 5 for Wednesday's game. Jerry Maluyo got her first start of the season and took full advantage of it putting up 22 points with 4 rbs, 6 ast and 7 steals. Myers also decided to have Nizhoni Wheeler come of the bench and started Madeline Jacobson. Another move that proved to be good as Wheeler got her second double-double of the season with 16 pts and 11 rbs.

Kenya Lorton continued to do what she does by putting up 19 pts with 9 rebounds and 4 assist. Shasta Lofgren had 9 pts, 8 rbs and 4 ast. 

Altogether the devils had one of their better shooting night with 44% FG shooting. They were 31% from beyond the arc and 62% from the free throw line.  

Green Rivers, Mari Lilly, had a good night for the Gators putting up 23 pts and 10 rbs. 

The Devils are now 6-2 in the west and in 2nd place behind the 7-1 Centralia Trailblazers. 

Next up for LCC is a trip to Centralia on Saturday, February 9. The game will be broadcast on KLOG 100.7 FM and KLOG.com. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm.
