Devils Await NWAC Matchup After A Road Win Over Tacoma

The Lower Columbia College women's team gave first year head coach Lucas Myers a 20th victory in his inaugural season.  The Devils defeated Tacoma 65-61 on Wednesday February 27th.
 
Emily Packham had 15 points and five rebounds to lead LCC. The sophomore from Inkom Idaho hit 3 of 6 three-point shots.
 
Nizhoni Wheeler chipped in with 13 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots.  Madeline Jacobson came off the bench for nine points, five boards and two blocks.
 
Jerri Maluyo ran the floor with eight points, five assists and three steals.  Shasta Lofgren had nine points, five rebounds and four helpers.  Kenya Lorton had 11 points and six rebounds.
 
The Devils finished the league season with a 12-2 record and the West Division championship not to mention the 20-9 record.
 
LCC will open the NWAC tournament Saturday March 9th in Everett.  Their first round matchup will be announced on the NWAC Selection Show this Sunday at 6:30 pm on nwacsports.org.
