The Lower Columbia men's basketball team ended the regular season with a win and now they wait to see if they will qualify for the NWAC Championship tournament.

Martis Johnson and
Seth Hall scored 19 points each to lead LCC to a 76-61 victory at Tacoma on Wednesday February 27
th.

With the win the Devils end the West Region season at 8-6, tied with Highline for the 4
th and final playoff spot. The Devils fate is tied to Friday night's Green River at South Puget Sound game. If SPSCC wins, the Devils will be going to the NWAC's in Everett. If Green River wins, Highline will get the berth.

Up just 30-27 at halftime, the Devils took control in the first five minutes of the second half behind a barrage of three's from Johnson. Martis hit three long balls in the first three minutes to give LCC a 44-29 lead. The Devils then turned away a couple of Tacoma runs and took the win.

Despite an 0-6 night from beyond the arc, Hall scored 19 including 7 of 8 from the line.

Samaad Hector had a tough shooting night, but he still pounded the boards for 12 rebounds to go with nine points.Â
Bricin Ford had a solid game with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Cody Young gave the Devils 20 quality minutes with just one turnover and four points.

The Devils will be rooting for South Puget Sound Friday night. If LCC gets into the tournament, the matchup will be announced on the NWAC Selection Show Sunday night at 7:30 pm on nwacsports.org
