Lower Columbia women's basketball coach
Lucas Myers was looking to shake things up after two straight defeats due to poor starts. He put three new players into the starting lineup and the moves worked against Columbia Basin, as the Devils outscored the Hawks 19-8 in the opening quarter and went on to a 78-49 victory.
Jodi Noyes took advantage of the starting opportunity by scoring a college career high 19 points with seven rebounds.
The Devils lost on the opening night of the Holiday Classic after Mt. Hood jumped out to a big early lead and held on for the win in part to a bad job by LCC on the boards. But on Saturday December 28th, the Devils out rebounded the Hawks 32-23.
Tommia Pakootas did well for LCC scoring a college career high 11 points including 3 for 3 from three-point range.
Danica Schmidt also got the start and she scored nine points and collected three steals.
Cherita Daugherty filled the stat sheet with seven points, three boards, five assists and four steals.
The Devil defense held the Hawks to 34 percent shooting.
LCC will play on at home Sunday, December 29th at 1 pm against the Yakima Valley Yaks.
