Kenya Lorton had a monster double-double with 17 points and 16 big rebounds leading the Lower Columbia women's basketball team to a 67-53 road victory over Pierce on Wednesday January 16th.
Lorton also added five assists. She was all over the defensive glass, pulling 15 boards at that end of the court.
Shasta Lofgren came up with a big offensive night after some recent struggles. Lofgren scored 20 points and hit all six of her free throw attempts. She also added four steals to help the Devil defense.
Nizhoni Wheeler had nine points and six boards.Â
Emily Packham had eight points, five caroms and four assists.
Madison Mosier filled the box score with seven points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Madeline Jacobson had six points and four rebounds off the bench. She accounted for all of the LCC bench points.
Turnovers continue to hinder the Devils as they had 22 miscues in the game. They were able to recover some of them with 10 steals.
LCC is 2-1 in league as they head to Aberdeen for a 2 pm game with Grays Harbor on Saturday January 19th. Game time is at 2 pm. You can hear the game on FM 100.7 KLOG at 1:55 pm.
