RED DEVILS OPEN LEAGUE WITH ROAD VICTORY

The Lower Columbia College volleyball team got West Region play off to a good start with a 3-1 win over Centralia on Friday September 21st.
 
Sophomore Cassidy Thompson led the attack with 19 kills.
 
The Devils beat the Blazers 25-20, 30-28, 21-25 and 25-23.
 
It was a close match all the way, but LCC got the clutch points when they needed them.
 
Ashlynn Cantwell and Megan Miller had 11 kills each.  Cantwell also led the team with 17 digs.
 
Sophomore setter Macey Wright had 38 assists and seven digs.  Maddie Stimmel also had 11 digs.
 
The Devils go to 1-0 in the West and 18-4 overall.
 
The league home opener is Wednesday September 26th when the Devils host the Tacoma Titans.  The match begins at 7 pm.
