The Lower Columbia men's basketball team made a three point halftime lead hold up as they went to Tacoma and beat the Titans 88-85 on Wednesday January 31st.
The Devils shot 52 percent from the floor and 50 percent from long distance and those solid numbers helped mask free throw issues. LCC was just 12 for 20 from the charity stripe.
Spencer Sweet led Red Devil scorers with 17 points on 5 of 9 shooting. Sweet added six boards, three assists and two steals.
Lower Columbia got a huge contribution from freshman
Seth Hall, who came off the bench for 16 points. Hall was 4 for 5 from beyond the three-point line.
Three other Devil reserves came in to score in double figures.Â
Donald Scott, playing in his hometown of Tacoma, had 15 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.Â
Wesley Gilbert had 10 points and five boards and
Said Ali had 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. LCC's bench outscored the Titans 54-16.
Brandon Cotton was also playing in his hometown and he contributed with nine points and five assists.
It was a key road win for the Devils as they go to 6-1 in the division while Tacoma drops to 5-2.
Dayton Pascua and Quintin Bethea each has 22 points for Tacoma.
The Devils will enjoy a bye on Saturday before they come home to host Green River on Wednesday February 7th. Game time is 8 pm.
