The Lower Columbia College men's basketball team could never find the shooting touch in a 89-63 loss at Umpqua College on Saturday December 29th.
The Devils shot just 23 for 61 from the floor (38%) and hit just 4 of 19 three-point shots (21%).
The Riverhawks jumped out to a 42-25 halftime lead and then increased it by outscoring LCC 47-38 in the second half.
Bricin Ford and
Samaad Hector led the way with 10 points and six rebounds each.
LCC was out-rebounded 32-28 and the home stat sheet had Lower Columbia with just three assists. The box score also showed the Devils with 15 turnovers and Umpqua with 10 steals.
The Devils will try and flush the loss when they host the Multnomah JV's at 1 pm on Saturday January 5th. It will be the final tune-up before West Region play begins Wednesday January 9th at home against Green River.
The Devils are now 9-4 on the season.
