Nizhoni Wheeler owned the paint as the Lower Columbia women's basketball team defeated Peninsula 62-52 on the final day of the NWAC Crossover at Myklebust Gym.

Wheeler had 16 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots on Sunday December 16th to help the Devils avenge an earlier loss to the Pirates back on November 20th.

Emily Packham had a solid game with 14 points, five rebounds and seven assists.

Kenya Lorton also scored in double figures with 13 points. Lorton also had eight rebounds and three assists.

Madison Mosier and Madeline Jacobson both scored six points each.

Despite a tough shooting day, Shasta Lofgren helped out on the boards with six rebounds to go with five points.

The Devils now have a week off to spend family time over Christmas.

After an 0-4 start to the season, the Devils have evened their record at 6-6.

LCC returns to Myklebust Gym for the LCC Holiday Classic December 27-29.  The Devils will open the tourney against Portland at 7pm on Thursday December 27th.
