The week long Christmas break is always better when you come off a win.
And a good win it was as the Lower Columbia men's team closed out the Chemeketa Crossover with an 81-67 victory over the host team on Sunday December 16th.
A victory over a tough Chemeketa team at their gym has head coach
Mickey Polis smiling. "It was a great job by our guys to shake off a tough loss to Peninsula the day before and go out and get the job done", he said. "We can enjoy the holidays much more with the victory."
Bricin Ford had another great game for the Devils. He went 10 for 13 from the floor including two more slam dunks. Ford had 21 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
Seth Hall scored 20 points and he was also deadly by hitting 6 of 9 shots.
Devonte Dennis had 14 points and six rebounds.Â
Samaad Hector had eight points.
The Devils shot 52 percent from the floor. LCC also dominated on the boards with a 44-30 advantage over the Storm.
The 5th ranked Devils are now 9-3 on the season as they take a few days off. Lower Columbia returns to action Saturday December 29th when they make the trip to Roseburg to play the Umpqua Riverhawks. Game time is at 4 pm.
