Nizhoni Wheeler scored 25 points to lead the Lower Columbia women's basketball team to am 84-59 victory over the Portland Panthers on the first night of the NWAC Crossover at LCC's Myklebust Gymnasium.
Wheeler was 11 for 16 from the floor and 3 of 6 from long distance, a breakout scoring night for the sophomore from Port Angeles.
She got plenty of help from her teammates.
Kenya Lorton had 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists.Â
Shasta Lofgren shook off early foul problems to score 14 points with 10 rebounds and four assists.
Emily Packham had 12 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Madison Mosier logged 36 minutes and had five points and six assists.
LCC shot 44 percent from three-point range.
The Devils will take on Big Bend on Saturday December 15th at 7 pm. Big Bend defeated Peninsula 77-53 in the other game Friday. Portland will take on Peninsula at 5 pm on Saturday.
