But a 2-2 tie with Green River has to be considered a disappointment.

The Gators got on the board first at the Kent Playfields with a goal at the eight minute mark.

The Devils tied it up at 1-1 with a Sierra Thornock goal at 15', assisted by Jessica Jude.

A key part of the match came at the 27th minute when the Devils scored an own goal, giving the Gators the 2-1 lead.

Just before halftime, Kayla Willis scored the equalizer on a Karen Gonzalez assist.

The halftime tie held throughout the second half.

Lower Columbia had plenty of chances as they had 12 corner kicks as opposed to just one for Green River.

LCC keeper Kennedy Werner had eight saves.

The Devils remain in 4th place in the West with a 4-3-1 record, 6-4-1 overall.

LCC has a chance to make up ground on third place Tacoma when they host the Titans Wednesday October 10th. The match begins at 4 pm at Northlake Field.

Tacoma enters play with 18 points in the division. The Devils have 13.
