Although the Lower Columbia women's basketball team had a 10 point lead at halftime, there was still a feeling that South Puget Sound was in the game and in contention for an upset.
Forget about it.
The Devils came out and blitzed the Clippers 19-8 in the third quarter and LCC went on to a 73-52 victory in Olympia on Wednesday January 24th.
Tywanna Abbott led the Devil scorers with 15 points, but there were plenty of contributors on this night.
Hayley Niles had 13 points and seven rebounds.Â
Shanay Dotson scored 12 and retrieved six.Â
Madison Crews scored 10.
Cherita Daugherty had eight points, six rebounds and six assists.
Despite feeling under the weather,
Nizhoni Wheeler trooped on to score seven points with four rebounds.
Nina Bailey provided 15 solid minutes scoring five points with three boards.
LCC goes to 3-1 in West Region play and 13-7 overall.
