The Red Devils couldn't finish it off.
Leading through three quarters, the LCC women's basketball team saw Grays Harbor outscore them 22-12 in the 4th quarter and the Chokers took an 87-84 victory.
It was Grays Harbor's 16th consecutive victory.
Lower Columbia turned the ball over 24 times, allowing the Chokers to stay in the game. LCC led by nine after one quarter and nine at the half. The Devils took a seven point lead into the fateful 4th quarter.
The Devils did get a good look at a game tying three point shot at the buzzer but if was off and the Harbor came away with the big win.
Alexia Thrower led Grays Harbor with 27 points.
Madison Crews had an outstanding game for LCC with 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Nizhoni Wheeler had 22 points of the bench. She also had seven rebounds.
Shanay Dotson had 13 points and eight boards.Â
Tywanna Abbott scored 11 with five rebounds.
The Devils slip to 12-7 and 2-1 in the West. Grays Harbor goes to 16-1 and 4-0 in the West.
LCC travels to Olympia to play South Puget Sound Wednesday at 6 pm. The Devils return home to take on Highline Saturday January 27th at 5 pm.
