Box Score The two teams who met for the NWAC volleyball title last year got together for the second time in three days.

Third time was the charm for the Linn Benton Roadrunners.

Linn Benton played an inspired match and beat the Red Devils on their home floor 3-1 on Tuesday August 29th.

The set scores were 25-18, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-18.

Katelyn Allen and Grace Phillips had 12 kills each to lead Linn Benton. Montana Gubrud had 38 assists.

The Devils were led by Nina Bailey and Cassidy Thompson with eight kills each.  Macey Wright had 17 assists.  Khloe Clark had 21 digs.

LCC beat Linn Benton 2-1 last Sunday in Eugene. This building rivalry was stoked when the Red Devils pulled off the huge upset over Linn Benton in last November's NWAC Championship.

The Devils return to the Myklebust Gym floor on Wednesday when they host Olympic at 2 pm.  The Rangers and Clark then meet at 4 pm.  LCC and Clark will square off at 7 pm Wednesday.

Don't be surprised if the Red Devils and Roadrunners meet again down the road.
