Devils Avoid A Monumental Upset

The Lower Columbia College women's team had been off a week due to the NWAC West bye and last night it looked like they lost the mojo.
 
The Devils hit some clutch free throws down the stretch and rallied to beat winless Pierce 55-50 on Wednesday February 8th.
 
The Raiders were in position to pull off a huge upset to get their first win of the season (0-20), as they were up four in the 4th.  But Carissa Cannon hit a huge three and Madison Lord and Faye Chartraw hit clutch free throws to pull out the win.
 
Lord led the way with a double-double, 16 points and 12 rebounds.  She also had two blocks.
 
Chartraw had 12 points.  Cannon ended up with seven points and four steals.  Tywanna Abbott had six points and five boards.
 
The Devils hope to get back on track when they host the Tacoma Titans on Saturday February 11th.  The Tip off is set for 5 pm and can be viewed on Devil Vision.  The Devils hope to avenge their lone league loss earlier this season.
