The final home game of the LCC women's basketball season on Saturday February 25th was memorable in many ways.

10 Red Devil sophomores were honored prior to the game with Grays Harbor.  There was an outstanding musical tribute to the team and Crystal Chartraw performed by members of the Makaw Tribe at halftime.  And the Devils went out and beat the Chokers 81-57 to clinch the West championship for the third straight season.

Every Red Devil player saw plenty of action and 13 of the 14 scored.

Freshman Tywanna Abbott led the way with 13 points.  Madison Lord had 12 points and eight rebounds. Madison Hinrichs also scored 12 along with five steals and five assists.  Bailey Hockett also had 10 points, eight rebounds and and three steals.

Hinrichs, Hockett, Keahi-lele Roy, Kaitlin Lewis, Samantha Boyce, Carissa Cannon, Faye Chartraw, Jenny Westlund, Olivia Doerr and Marissa Gardner all played on the Myklebust Gym court for the final time as Red Devils.  Each recieved keepsakes and were joined by family members prior to the game.

The Devils forced 36 Grays Harbor turnovers and turned them into 37 points. 

This will be a memorable sophomore class in the history of the program.  Lewis has contributed to three West titles as she sat out last season with a serious knee injury.

The Devils finish out the regular season with a road game at South Puget Sound on Wednesday March 1st.  Tip off is 6 pm.  The game can be heard live on AM 1490 KLOG in the Longview-Kelso area and worldwide on klog.com.
