The Devils provided some late anxiety when they allowed a 20 point lead to slip to six but they held on to defeat Centralia 77-69 on Wednesday February 23rd.

Devin Johnson had a monster game for LCC as he hit 13 of 16 shots and scored 32 points. The sophomore from Battle Ground also had eight rebounds, two assists and a block.

LCC led 39-19 when they let their guard down and allowed the Blazers back in the game. The Blazers made it a two possession game in the waning minutes but could get no closer.

Spencer Sweet had 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Elijah Cotton-Welch had 11 points and Keun Palu-Thompson chipped in with 10 points.

There was just six points scored from the respective benches.

Austin Curry had a big second half for Centralia scoring 25 points in the game.

LCC goes to 8-4 in the West and is now tied with Tacoma for third place, a game behind second place Pierce. The Devils final hopme game is Saturday February 25th as they entertain Grays Harbor in a 7 pm tip off. The six Devil sophomores will be honored prior to the game.
