The Lower Columbia men's basketball team is finding the second half of league play a much tougher road.

The Devils lost to Highline 78-57 on Saturday February 18th, dropping to 4th place in the West Division.

The Devils couldn't get dialed in from long range, going just 4 for 22 from beyond the arc (18.2%). LCC shot just 39 percent total and were 11 for 16 from the free throw line. Highline on the other hand was hot, hitting 13 of 19 three's and 50% overall.

The T-Birds led 42-31 at halftime and increased the lead in the second half cruising to the victory which puts them just two games behind LCC in the race for the playoffs.

Marcus Lord led LCC with 11 points. Elijah Cotton-Welch had 10 points and six rebounds.

Val Wilson of Highline led all scorers with 27 points.

LCC is now 18-8 overall.
