Red Devil head coach Mickey Polis decided to shake up the starting line up in order too see if his team could get off to a good start against Umpqua at the Lane Tournament in Eugene.

A night earlier the Devils had to rally from 17 down to beat Lane in overtime and a week ago LCC rallied from 12 down to beat Umpqua in Longview.

Back to the drawing board.

Umpqua got off to a 13-0 start and led 20-6 in the first half and they went on to beat Lower Columbia 75-54 on Saturday December 9th.

The Devils could never recover from the bad start and Umpqua was in control from start to finish.

Spencer Sweet led Lower Columbia with 14 points.

Brandon Cotton was to only other LCC player in double figures with 10.

LCC slips to 5-4 on the season.  The Devils will close out the trip to Eugene with a 12 pm game on Sunday December 10th.
