The Lower Columbia men's basketball team is going to have to deal with inconsistency.
With just three sophomores and two returners from last year's Final Four team, the Red Devils are going to go through some growing pains.
That was evident on Saturday December 2nd when they lost to Chemeketa 80-68 at Myklebust Gym.
After weathering an early Chemeketa storm, the Devils were up by one at halftime. But the Storm showed more poise and toughness and outscored LCC 41-28 in the second half.
All five LCC starters scored in double figures.
Leading the way was
Kyle Daugherty who had 15 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Brandon Cotton had 15 points and five helpers.Â
Seth Hall added 13 points and five boards.
Wesley Gilbert scored 11 and and pulled eight.
The night before the bench was key in a win over Umpqua, but in the this game LCC got just four points from the reserves.
The Devils go to 4-2 on the season and will hunker down for finals week before beginning play at the Lane Tournament in Eugene beginning Friday December 8th.
