Devils Roll Over Clark

The Lower Columbia women's basketball team jumped out to a 19-6 lead after one quarter and went on to defeat Clark 89-48 in Vancouver on Thursday November 30th.

Kenya Lorton had a monster game as she hit 10 of 13 shots, all three of her three-point attempts, and tallied 27 points. The freshman from Adna also had six rebounds and three assists.

Nizhoni Wheeler added 16 points and eight rebounds.  Wheeler was 7 for 10 from the floor. The Devils as a team shot 54 percent from the floor.

Tywanna Abbott came up with a double-double, 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Abbott hit six of her nine shots taken.

Shanay Dotson also put a double-double into the scorebook as she had 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.

Hayley Niles scored 15 points with eight rebounds.  Madison Crews stuffed the stat sheet with three points, a game-high nine assists and eight rebounds.

The Devils go to 4-1 on the season. 

LCC returns home to play on Saturday December 2nd with a game against the LCC Alumni. Scheduled to come back to Myklebust Gym are Mollee Strand, Donniesha Webber, Nesija Selava, Olivia Doerr, Tiffany Tornow, Amanda Britt, Carissa Cannon, Lacey Seidl, Arineshia Smith, Autumn Moorcroft, Kaylea Knox, Sam Boyce, Caitlynn Jackson, Sadie Salte, Kaitlin Lewis, Christian Carlson and Sandy Crews. Darren Schwegler will coach the Alumni team.

The LCC versus LCC Alumni game will begin at 4:00 pm, following the LCC men's game against Chemeketa.
