Carri Smith has taken the Lower Columbia College volleyball team to upper levels since she was hired in 2013, including the 2016 NWAC Championship.
Add another level to her coaching career as she earned win #100 at LCC when her Red Devils defeated Green River 3-0 on Wednesday November 8th.
The Devils snapped a two-match losing streak with the 25-18, 25-15, 25-17 victory. Lower Columbia ended up tied with Highline for second place in the West Region. The Devils will return to the NWAC tournament to defend its title as the #3 seed from the West.
Megan Miller led the attack with seven kills.Â
McKenna LaRoy and
Cassidy Thompson had six kills each.
Khloe Clark had 14 digs and
Olivia Conradi had 12 assists.
The Red Devils finished the regular season with a record of 25-12, 10-4 in the West.
LCC's first match in the 2017 NWAC tournament will be against the team they played in the last match of the 2016 tourney. The Devils play Linn Benton in the opening round on Thursday November 16th, the team they beat for the title last season. The match will begin at 4:30 pm at the Tacoma Convention Center.
