It was a bad night.
But not an all-around bad night because despite being swept 3-0 by Pierce, the Lower Columbia volleyball team clinched a berth in the NWAC tournament on Friday November 3rd.
A close, back-and-forth opening set went to the Raiders 25-23 and the Devils could never recover.
Pierce went on to win set two 25-19 and completed the sweep with a 25-16 win in set three.
The Devils had just a .010 kill percentage on the night.Â
Nina Bailey,
McKenna LaRoy and
Megan Miller had seven kills each.
Khloe Clark had 15 digs and
Macey Wright collected 15 assists.
The Devils clinched the NWAC berth when Grays Harbor lost. The Devils are now 9-4 in league, 24-12 overall.
LCC can clinch the #3 West seed with a regular season closing road match at Green River on Wednesday November 8th.
Lower Columbia will be on hand to defend its NWAC title at the Championship tournament November 16-19 at the Tacoma Convention Center.
