Up two sets at the break, the Lower Columbia College volleyball team came out of the locker room and let its guard down on Wednesday October 4th.
Highline rallied to win the final three sets, taking the match 3-2. It was a painful first league loss for the Red Devils, as they drop to 4-1 in the West Division.
After winning 25-19 and 26-24, LCC could never regain control after the break. Highline won the next two sets by the same scores of 25-22. The deciding set went to the Thunderbirds 15-9.
The net play was not up to snuff as LCC had a kill percentage of just .057.
Nina Bailey had 11 kills and two blocks.Â
Cassidy Thompson had 10 kills and 15 digs.
Macey Wright collected 22 assists and 12 digs.Â
Khloe Clark had 29 digs.
The Devils need to bounce back quick because the 5-0 Pierce Raiders come to Myklebust Gym at 7 pm Friday October 6th.
LCC drops to 15-6 overall.
