The Lower Columbia College volleyball team had an action packed weekend with seven matches at the Edmonds Cross Over tournament.
LCC ended up in 4th place, dropping the 3rd/4th place match to the host team Edmonds 2-1.
The tourney started well for LCC as they came up with wins over Yakima Valley 2-0 and Whatcom 2-1 on Saturday October 21st.
That momentum came to a screeching halt when they lost to eventual tourney champ Chemeketa 2-0 Saturday night. That match ended with LCC dropping the second set 25-6.
On Sunday October 22nd, Lower Columbia began the four-match day with a 3-0 sweep over Mt. Hood. Walla Walla defeated LCC 3-1. The Devils then beat Yakima Valley 2-0 before dropping that final match with Edmonds.
Khloe Clark was solid all weekend long at the Libero position and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Red hot Chemeketa ended up winning the tourney by going 6-0.
The Devils are 22-10 on the season and they get back into West Region play on Wednesday October 25th when they travel to Olympia for a 7 pm match with South Puget Sound. The next home match is Friday October 27th against Grays Harbor.
