It just seemed a little weird. Surrender.

It wasn't a Cheap Trick lyric. It was Lower Columbia's 1-0 road victory at Green River on Wednesday October 18th.

The Gators were battling injuries and were down to 10, sometimes nine players in the match.  But LCC played lackluster and couldn't find the net until the 74th minute when Emily McCoy scored on a Makenna Spillett assist.

At that point Green River surrendered the match and the game was complete.  College rules state that a match is not complete until 70 minutes elapsed.  Once the Devils scored, the Gators had enough.

LCC out shot Green River 9-1, but LCC didn't seem to have the finishing fire on this day.  A day they didn't have to finish the match.

It was the final road game for LCC. The Devils are now 4-4-2 in league with 14 points.  Overall the Devils are 6-7-3.

Lower Columbia will host Grays Harbor on Saturday October 21st at 12 pm.
