The 'ol Tacoma Titan crackerbox is a thing of the past.
The Lower Columbia men's basketball team made its first appearance in the new Tacoma Gym a winner, downing the Titans 85-78 on Saturday January 14th.

Keun Palu-Thompson was right at home in the new gym as he scored 24 points and pulled down nine rebounds in front of friends and family.
Fueled by the 14 first half points of
Geordi Morrow, the Devils took a 48-31 halftime lead and were on the verge of blowing the game wide open. TCC worked back to get the game interesting down the stretch, but the Devils held on to 2-0 in the West Region.
Morrow didn't score again in the game, but his 6 for 8 first half shooting was one of the keys to victory.Â
Spencer Sweet had 12 points and
Devin Johnson just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.Â
Fellow Tacoma natives
Brandon Cotton (7 points, 4 assists) andÂ
Elijah Cotton-Welch (5 points) helped the cause.Â
Marcus Lord had nine points.
Kahliel Wyatt had 23 to lead Tacoma.
The Devils will travel to Auburn for a game with the Green River Gators on Wednesday January 18th. Tip off is set for 8 pm.Â
