The Lower Columbia College women's basketball team took the floor for the first time since they came out on top of the latest Under Armour NWAC Coaches Poll.
The game on Thursday January 12th was no contest as the Devils defeated Pierce 92-42.
LCC went on a 23-2 run in the first half to take control in a game where every Red Devil player had at least eight minutes of playing time.
Keahi-lele Roy led all scorers with 14 points.Â
Madison Crews had 11 points and
Madison Lord added 10.
Madison Hinrichs had nine points, six boards and four assists.
Faye Chartraw also had nine points and six caroms.
Olivia Doerr had nine minutes of productive ball with six points and three steals.Â
The Devils competition will step up considerably when they head to Tacoma for a game with the Titans on Saturday January 14th. The game will be played in the brand new Tacoma gym facility at 2:00 pm. The game can be heard live in the Longview-Kelso area on AM 1490 KLOG and worldwide on klog.com.
LCC will play at Green River next Wednesday night.
The next home game is Saturday January 21st against Highline at 5:00 pm. The LCC NWAC Championship volleyball team will be honored with a banner unveiling party as part of the basketball double header.
