The West Region opener was looking good early. The 4th ranked Lower Columbia volleyball team won the first two sets at Pierce College in Lakewood on Wednesday September 21st.
It went downhill from there.
Pierce took the final three sets and won the match 3-2. The set scores were 25-10, 25-22, 14-25, 14-25 and 9-15.
LCC was playing without
Kallie Schmit, who missed practice this week with flu symptoms. The Devils came out of the gate strong, but couldn't get the spark to stem the Pierce rally.
Nina Bailey and
Rachel Erickson had 10 kills each.Â
Khloe Clark had 29 digs to lead in that catagory.Â
Haylee Savage had 23 assists.
The Devils drop to  12-5 overall and 0-1 in league. The team will try and regroup in time for a home league match with Grays Harbor on Friday September 23rd. First serve is at 7 pm at Myklebust Gym.
