It was certainly a tale of two halves.
Down 16 at halftime, the Lower Columbia women's basketball team turned it around with a big second half to defeat Pierce 65-46 on Saturday February 6th.
With the win, the Devils are now 8-0 in West Region play.
With scoring hard to come by in the first two quarters, the Devils stayed the course. LCC had just 18 first half points. But with 24 in the third quarter and 23 in the 4th the Devils turned in into a turnaround blowout.
Katie Hankins had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the way.Â
Nesija Selava had 12 points including 4 of 9 three's.Â
Carissa Cannon had 11 points and 12 rebounds for her first college double-double.
LCC has won eight straight games as they embark on a two game roadtrip. The Devils will take on TCC Wednesday February 10th in Tacoma with tip time 6 pm. The team will be at Green River on Saturday February 13th at 3 pm.
The next home game is Wednesday February 17th as Highline pays a visit for Red Canoe Credit Union Night and ASLCC Spirit Night.
