Positives were hard to come by when talking about the big West showdown on Saturday February 20th.
The Devils didn't shoot well, didn't take care of the ball and didn't defend it added up to a 73-37 loss to Centralia at Myklebust Gym.
Now the positives. The Devils and Blazers are now tied at the top of the West Division with 11-1 records and both team have road victories against each other. Both teams have two games left. LCC is at Grays Harbor on Wednesday February 24 and then hosts South Puget Sound on Saturday February 27th. Centralia will play at Green River on Wednesday and then host Grays Harbor on Saturday.
LCC has clinched a home playoff game on Saturday March 5th. They will take on either the South #4 team or the East #3 team.
The numbers were ugly against the Blazers.Â
Samantha Boyce had seven points to lead the Devil scorers. The Devils shot just 24 percent from the floor. They turned the ball over 20 times against just nine for the Blazers.
The Blazers, who were led by the 22 points of Monty Cooper, shot 51 percent from the floor and outscored the Devils 24 to 8 in the paint.
LCC will be tested to either flush it or fix it.
