The Lower Columbia men's basketball team can put another West Region championship in the history book.
The Devils clinched at least a share of the region championship with a 78-62 victory over Centralia on Saturday February 20th. LCC also has clinched a home playoff game for the Regional round on Saturday March 5th.
Devin Johnson was a man around the glass with 17 points, six rebounds and two blocks. His aggressive play down low set the tone of the game.
Lawrence Russell had 15 points, six rebounds and four assists.Â
Keun Palu-Thompson also scored in double figures with 13 points.
The Devils led the Blazers 34-28 at halftime but then came out strong in the second half and got up by 20 points after a 10-2 run.
Jared Roffler also had a solid game with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Centralia was led by the 22 points of Josiah Warner.
The Devils are now 11-1 in league and 19-7 overall. The Devils travel to Grays Harbor on Wednesday for an 8 pm tip. That game can be heard live on AM 1490 KLOG and klog.com.
LCC then closes out the regular season Saturday February 27th with a 7 pm home game against South Puget Sound. It will be Sophomore Night.
LCC is guaranteed a home Regional playoff against either the East #4 team or the South #3 team.
