11 in a row.
The Lower Columbia women's basketball team cranked up the attack in the 4th quarter and collected a 51-36 win over Highline on Wednesday February 17th at Myklebust Gym.
The Devils 11th straight win puts the West Region record at 11-0.
Samantha Boyce led the way with 19 points. The sophomore from Cathlamet hit 7 of 11 shots and was 3 for 5 from three-point range. Boyce also collected six rebounds.
It was a struggle offensively for three quarters as LCC had just 30 points on the board at that point. But a 21 point 4th quarter including a 13-2 run put the game away.
Katie Hankins had another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Faye Chartraw had five points. The rest of the LCC scoring was balanced and the Devils bench outscored the T-Birds 15-4.
Alicia Westbrook led Highline with nine points.
The victory maintains LCC's one game lead over Centralia with the Blazers coming to Longview for a huge game Saturday February 20th.  Centralia is 10-1 with its lone league loss to the Devils back on January 23rd.
The game tips off at 5 pm and it can be seen on Devil Vision, the LCC Athletics You Tube channel. The game will also be broadcast live on the radio on AM 1490 KLOG in the Longview-Kelso area and worldwide on klog.com.
