The Lower Columbia men's basketball team got right back in the win column after thier 10 game winning streak was snapped last Wednesday.

The Devils beat Green River 80-72 in Auburn on Saturday February 13th.

LCC had a 41-34 lead at halftime and stretched the lead to 20 in the second half before the Gators rallied to make it interesting.  But the Devils took care of business in the last five minutes and collected a big West Region win.

Lower Columbia is now 9-1 in league and 17-7 overall.

Devin Johnson had an outstanding game for LCC.  The sophomore from Battle Ground had 18 points, four rebounds and seven blocked shots.

Lawrence Russell had another double-double for the Devils scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. He also had five assists, four steals and three blocks.

The Devil freshman from Wilson High, Keun Palu-Thompson and Elijah Cotton-Welch scored 11 points each.  Jared Roffler and Nate Solomon had nine points apiece.

LCC had just nine turnovers.

The Gators were led by the 19 of Anthony Harper.

The Devils come home for a huge game on Wednesday February 17th as second place Highline comes to Myklebust Gym for an 8 pm tipoff. The Thunderbirds sit in second place at 8-2, one game behind LCC.

Wednesday's game is Red Canoe Credit Union Night and ASLCC Spirit Night. The Trail Blazer Break Dancers will perform at halftime and there will be pizza and giveaways.

The game will be telecast live on Devil Vision, the LCC Athletics You Tube channel. The game will also be broadcast live on AM 1490 KLOG and klog.com.
