Down nine at halftime, the Lower Columbia men's basketball team turned things around in the second half then relied on star Lawrence Russell to stay unbeaten in the West.

On Saturday January 30th, Russell hit the game winner with two seconds left to give LCC an 88-86 victory over South Puget Sound in Olympia.

The Devils had to dig deep to stay unbeaten in the West at 7-0 through the first round of league play.  LCC has won nine straight ballgames.

Russell had 27 points, sven rebounds and five assists. Devin Johnson had a monster game with 24 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
